To be honest, I wasn't really too happy with what I did. I wish I had more time to work on my ideas and concept but due to an unfortunate event, things did not go the way I thought it would.
I strayed away from my concept a lot and eventually had to improvise with rotoscoping to fill in the blank parts.
I believe if I had more time to work on it, I would had done more towards what my concept was rather than straying away from it.
Overall I'm satisfied with my work since it's the first time that I have ever done something like that. I would give it another go in the future as well.

BSA 227 - Visual Effect Composition (Week 13/14)
After doing some test and experiments, things did not work out the way I wanted and eventually my concept strayed a little bit from the original.
Some changes that I have made is rotoscoping. I used the brush tool on after effects, went into the brush tab and changed the duration from constant to single frame.
I then drew on the frame with a cintiq
I also made a racing start light countdown on a different composition with four shapes of circle
I felt like if I spent more time on it, It would had looked better and more towards the concept I wanted.

I later then freeze one of the frames and then added the composition in with a little bit of opacity turned down to make it look like appears out of no where.

BSA 227 - Visual Effect Composition (Week 12)
Rotobrushing
In this week's class we tried adding a graffiti we made on photoshop into a background of a character walking into the shot. We used the rotobrush to mask the character out in another separate composition before adding it into the final composition.
We then added the .png file of the graffiti we made in photoshop, added another layer of the character walking into frame as the bottom layer then have the masked layer on top. The final outcome is as shown below.

Other than that we went on away with our own composition works.

For this one I duplicated the layers of the text and change the colours of it then have it Animated with a wiggle command.
I then wanted to have it look like a distortion glitch of the title.
I looked up online and saw this video from sonduck.
I created two composition of shapes one with thin rectangles and the other with thick triangle. A displacement map was later added and animated to both of the composition on the main video and eventually came up with something like this.
BSA 227 - Visual Effect Composition (Week 10)
In this week's class we learned how to grab a camera tracking movement on Nuke, then importing the movement into Maya and finally sticking it all together using After Effects.

Nuke was pretty interesting but I find Maya confusing as I have never touched that software before. As a filmie I think I would just leave these to the animators and in hopes trust them to do a good job in the future.

BSA 227 - Visual Composition (Week 8/9)
I had a lot of catching up to do. I went through some idea proposal with Vaughn and came up with a story of two guys racing for the final title of Boi Racer.
Some ideas of what the visual composition that will be in my project.

A lighting animation test that I did. Added a red and teal drop shadow on both frames and also added in motion blur effect.
A really rough title text idea that I'm going to put into my visual comp. Needs more work on it as I still have to understand how the 3D light works on after effects.
BSA 206 - Semester 2 (Week 15)
Looking back at my presentation, I felt like there were lots of things that I could have improved in terms of lighting and the actual presentation.
Filming and experimenting things were fun and I would like to do them again.

BSA 206 - Semester 2 (Week 13/14)
During these two weeks, we did our assignment presentation.
I found everyone's work interesting and some were really different especially the Animator's work.
It's different in a way from what we filmies do and I find that they run into more software problem than us.
