DaVinci Resolve
This week we learned a few basic stuffs about DaVinci Resolve.
We watched a few videos regarding colour grading on resolve. There was a few important things to take note of such as Gallery and Timeline.
Gallery Space
The gallery space is where we grab stills of a set grading/edit from different nodes/edits that can be dragged on or applied to on different videos that acts like a preset.
Timeline Space
The timeline space is where we have different video clips for us to choose from to do our edit in. This is where we can choose and preview what clip we want to grade.
Nodes
Nodes in Resolve acts like a layer tool in photoshop. Each node is like a layer for us to control and do different kind of edits in. For example, the first node on the left is the original meaning untouched/unedited. The second one in the middle is where I've changed the RGB and Luminance Curves. The third one on the right is where I've added Lumi vs Sat into it to bring up the contrast.
I also used the RGB Curves, Colour Wheels(both primaries wheel and log wheels) and as well as the Bars. It was hard at first but I think I will slowly get use to it and will understand how it works after some time.
